I've been on a mission lately to find a few perfect Southern sundresses. There is nothing more feminine to me than a sundress dripping with Southern charm. I am a proud Southern woman. Will I ever leave the South? Never. The charming cities, mild climate, home cooking, and sweet-as-pie people will always be home to me. Not only am I Southern born-and-bred, but I am also a major girly-girl. I have been on the hunt for quality, Southern sundresses lately, and I am very happy to report back with my findings. The dresses I am going to share are all at different price points, but are all perfect for summer. Heck, I will wear some of these year-round because bright colors are always in season in my book. You'll also note that I am wearing the same sandals in almost every photo. They were a Target find and have been perfect for summer. I love going on a trip and only having to pack one single pair of sandals.
Before we get started, I want to share my unofficial definition of what a "Southern Sundress" actually is. To me, a Southern sundress has to be a bright color or pattern, comfortable, and appropriate for the streets and church on Sunday. I am also aware that a lot of fashion outlets say that floral dresses are out... but every woman in the south read that and rolled their eyes. ;)

Here are a few Southern sundresses I have found lately. Just for reference, I am wearing a small or medium in the dresses and am 5'3!
Dress 1: Southern Charm Sundress

This might be one of my all-time favorite dresses. It came from the boutique at Julep Farms, and it was around $80. It has the prettiest blue stripes and black & white flowers. The right above-the-knee length is perfect, as well as the puff sleeves. This dress is a 10/10. Wear it to church, brunch, girls' night, and more!
Dress 2: Tropical Beach Dress

This dress was a total score at Ross. I paid $17.99 for this summer dress. It is so bright and vibrant with a cinched waist and puff sleeves. Say no more! I wore it to my wedding anniversary dinner in Highlands, NC. Will also be wearing this at the beach next month while out to dinner with the family.
Dress 3: Watercolor Inspired Maxi

This dress was my first Mary Square dress purchase ever. I found the line of dresses at Belk and fell in love. I really love the blue and colorful print. Does the print almost give those old-school 90's styrofoam cups we used to drink out of vibes? Yes! It is really comfortable, though. This one is a win! I can't for the life of me remember how much this dress was, but it was under $100.
Dress 4: Vibrant Pink & Green Summer Mini Dress

While at Dollywood recently, I walked into a gift shop and to my surprise, they carried Mary Square. I almost didn't go home with this dress. I actually went back to this gift shop on my way out of the park to purchase this knee-length beauty. A little tip: if you have a Dollywood Gold pass, you can get 15% off all gift shop items, so I got a discount on this dress. I paid $65 for this dress.
Dress 5: The Spring Floral

I found this to wear to my daughter's dance recital with my pink boots. It was under $50 and is so beautiful in person. A perfect length, too! I have worn this one many times since purchasing it and plan to wear it all season long.
I hope this inspired you to find a cute sundress to wear all summer long! Keep following along as I share more outfit ideas and finds.
