2026 New Year's Challenge

2026 new years challenge by jordan noel

I can't believe it, but we are on the brink of a brand new year! How is that possible? Did your year FLY by like mine did? As we embark upon a new year, I thought we could start a challenge together. I have created my very own version of a 2026 New Year's challenge. There are TONS of challenges out there, including the original "75 Hard" by Andy Frisella, and all the many variations of that challenge. Those are amazing, and they inspired me to create my own version with a faith focus. So, I created my own version! I appreciate you being here, by the way, and would love for you to subscribe to my website so you don't miss a single post!

So, without further ado, here is how this plan is going to work in a few simple steps! Let's go!

  1. We will commit to this plan for 60 days, starting on January 1st, 2026.

  2. The focus areas will be spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. We will also focus on starting a new hobby.

  3. I will post my journey on social media & you're welcome to as well! It will be fun to do this together and cheer each other on.

  4. I have created a daily checklist below that you can print out!

  5. See below for all the details of each focus area!

Spiritual Habits

Every day for 60 days, we will do three things to set good spiritual habits:

1. Read 1 chapter of the Old Testament, 1 chapter of the New Testament, and then one Psalm or Proverb.

2. Pray

3. Write down three things we are grateful for in a journal (pen and paper are important). At the end of the year, we can look back on all of our blessings!

Physical Habits

Every day for 60 days, we will do the following:

  • Walk either outdoors (preferred) or on a treadmill, aiming for 10,000 steps a day (unless your doctor has you on restrictions, of course)

  • Strength train at least 2-3x a week. There are TONS of free workout plans on the wild web and YouTube. I will also share my weekly workout routine in a separate post soon. Don't overthink this one-just grab some weights and get lifting!

  • We will focus on a nutrient-dense diet, proper hydration, and getting good sleep every night. I am very much anti-diet, but I am pro-nutrient-dense eating. I will share more detailed thoughts on food + workout plans in a separate post.

  • Wake up at 6 a.m. every morning + make your bed

Mental/Emotional Health & Brain Boosting Fuel

We will begin to care for our emotional health. I am not a therapist or medical professional, but I am a woman who has walked some challenging roads, especially the past few years (hello depression and 2024 being the WORST year of my life). This will be the year we stop avoiding all the baggage we refuse to get off our shoulders. Even if you can't make time for therapy or commit to it financially, there are tons of books, worksheets, and materials you can use to help your mental/emotional health. We can also stimulate our brains and commit to learning new things in 2026! Here's what we can do in the next 60 days:

1. A nightly brain dump where you write down all the thoughts or things (good and bad) that you went through that day. THEN we are going to pray about the things that are concerning us and thank Him for all He is doing in our lives.

2. Commit to healing. Even if you can't do therapy, commit to asking God to heal your wounds and give you wisdom on how to unpack what you've been through. Journal, grieve, and get in tune with what you're feeling and what you can do to move forward. 3. Read one chapter in a book per day.

4. Each month, find one new topic to learn about and focus on that for the entire month. Have fun with this & weave it into your day! Read my list of topics here!

5. Take yourself out on a once-a-month coffee date.

Hobbies

We are going to pick one hobby to start and commit to it for the full 60 days. You can pick whatever your heart desires, but you must dedicate at least 5-10 minutes to it a day. You could knit, paint, write, read, color, bird-watch, etc. The possibilities are endless! Tune into your creativity and find something new that you will enjoy!

Tips Before You Commit:

This is a challenge, so it will be tough to adjust at first, but I believe it will be so beneficial for us all! If you have a day or two where you forget something, are sick, or LIFE happens, that is okay. All you have to do is pick right back up and start again! DO let our community know how it is going so we can cheer each other on!

Here is the printable list of challenges so you can consult it every day throughout the challenge! The button to download is right below the graphic!
