In order to keep my kids' skills sharp over the summer, I wanted to come up with a game of sorts to motivate them to continue learning. I am really big on raising lifelong learners, but that process obviously takes time, and we are certainly in a phase right now where my big kids are not always in love with schoolwork. Hence, the reason why I am making it fun this summer is with my summer learning challenge!

I was tidying up my house this afternoon when this song started playing through my headphones. This one specific part stopped me in my tracks as I folded a mountain-sized pile of laundry. I felt tears well up in my eyes because I have prayed that same prayer many times. Will God abandon me?

Raising children tugs on your heartstrings, doesn't it? My oldest child and I have been experiencing quite a bit of friction over the past few months. She is ten going on twenty, strong-willed, and at the age where I am no longer as cool as I used to be, which is a little bit heartbreaking.

We are closing in on finishing up our 6th year homeschooling, and I want to share what is working well for us. I have a rising 6th grader and a rising 3rd grader for reference. I have homeschooled my children since Kindergarten and have learned so much throughout the past six years.

This school year, I have started to incorporate something new and fun to help my kids become better writers. This works for any grade! Every morning, we do something I've started calling "Writer's Corner," and it's been such a great addition to our day.

It seems that homemaking has been a hot topic on social media for quite some time now, and I have a few thoughts on it myself.
