Wondering how to get your kids to pay attention to the sermon? If you want your older kids to start listening more closely to the sermon, I have an easy way to encourage them to listen! I recently talked with a friend about this, and we both agreed it would be really neat to give your older children an incentive to take sermon notes during church. We want our children to learn to love God's word and to listen to the Pastor each week, so sometimes they need a little incentive to get their brains focused on learning.
When I got home from church today, I decided to create a fun printable that kids can take to church. I found two $1.25 clipboards from Dollar Tree to put these on and throw in my bag every Sunday. Here's the fun part (for them): If they can answer the questions correctly on the printable, they get a fun surprise after church. The special treat could be ice cream, a trip to their favorite park, a small toy from Dollar Tree, or anything you want to surprise them with!
You'll find the printable below! Feel free to print as many copies for yourself as you'd like, but please do not distribute the document to others unless they directly print it off of this blog post. Thank you! :)
Happy note-taking!
