I recently threw a back-to-school party for my friends, and it was SO much fun! We spent the morning at the park and made memories that will last a lifetime. Here's how to throw a back-to-school party!
I rented out a park pavilion. Now, before you think that is wild and expensive, let me share a huge hack with you that I discovered a few years ago. You can get onto your local parks and recreation department website and rent out your local park pavilions. Here in Knoxville, TN, you can rent out splash pads, park picnic areas, and more. You will need to check your local offerings in your city. I only paid $26 and was able to secure the pavilion from 9 am to 2 pm. The park I rented was right beside the shaded picnic areas, so it was perfect for moms to sit and talk while their kids ran around.
I found the cutest decor on Amazon. We had to have on-theme decor for the party, duh! So I scored notebook paper-inspired disposable table cloths, apple-shaped paper plates, pencil cups, notebook paper napkins, a balloon arch kit, and the cutest party favors. I will talk more about them next. You can shop my back-to-school party finds here. They would be so cute for a classroom party, too!
Kid-Friendly Snacks. I made sure that all our food was kid-friendly and easy to clean up. We all know kids love snacks and could live off of them, so that's what I served. I had ZBars, apple sauce pouches, fruit twists, cookies, cupcakes, and more!
Party Favors. I was so thrilled with the quality of these back-to-school coloring books and crayons. The books are so cute, and the crayons twist off, so you have tons of color options. Everyone really loved these! These would be so cute for classroom parties, too!
